L’Essence De Courvoisier Du Dragon For The Year Of The Dragon.

There have been many Luxury items created to capitalise on the Chinese new year, in an attempt to quite  simply make money from it, from Courvoisier we have  L’Essence De Courvoisier Du Dragon, A rather naked money maker frankly, especially considering how well known it is that the Chinese Cognac market is an exceptionally large one.

L'Essence De Courvoisier is Courvosier's entry into the top end of the Luxury spirits world, positioned alongside Richard Hennessy and the eponymous Remy Martin Louis xiii, it is priced at £1800 per bottle, and utilises the standard 100 year old plus Eau de Vie blends that have come to be expected at this level of the market, and like the Louis xiii, it also comes in a Bacarat Decanter, with a stopper modelled on a signet Ring Napoleon would give to victorious army commanders.

What Courvoisier have essentially done, is produced a new run of 500 of the previously limited edition beverage, which makes us question how limite the edition truly was, with a Dragon engraved in gold on the front, and smacked the price up to £2000 a bottle, ingenious no?
