ST Dupont new thousand and one nights collection for 2012.

St Dupont are not particularly big on releasing new collections, they tend to either revamp and extend old collections, or release individual limited edition items with a couple of extra bits. This new collection, inspired by the Arabian nights, falls into the latter category, limited to one thousand and one sets, as further reference to the books the collection is named after.

The collection features a heavily Classical arabian influence, with an Ink holder, Paper opener in the shape of a scimitar, Fountain Pen, Display stand, and Lighter, the standard set is made from precious enamel, and trimmed with Yellow Gold, and utilises a deep Midnight blue colour, the lighter is from the Ligne 2 collection, it should be noted that the ink pot is merely a standard ST Dupont ink pot with a design painted on the bottle.

In addition to the 1001 Yellow gold and Midnight Blue sets, St Dupont are also releasing two collections in Black enamel, Solid white gold, and encrusted with Diamonds, featuring 127 diamonds on the Pen, and 137 diamonds on the lighter pictured above.

The collections were set to be released at the end of 2011, but have been released as the first Limited ST Dupont collection for 2012 instead, the lighter and pen set are sold separately.
