Prada Spring/Summer 2012 Womens "Hot Rod" shoes and clothing.

A cursory glance at Prada this year might leave an individual with slightly odd conclusions about the direction the brand is moving in, however, closer inspection, along with a little understanding of Prada as a brand, pretty much brings no real surprises.

And it is with that in mind we present this Summer 2012 Womens Wear collection, as you see, with a heavy dose of 1950's Americana, from the Hot Rod Car flames adorning the wedge and heels, to the tail lights on a pair of strappy sandals, to the beehive haircuts in the models, there is no mystery where this seasons style cues come from.

And frankly, with Prada its no surprise, Fashion Brands always look back for their inspiration, occasionally forward, but mostly back, and no brand more so than Prada, which has been pretty much rehashing 60's Mod styles again and again for years.

Available now from Prada's Boutiques, and no doubt online soon, these shoes range in price from £600 for the wedge style, up to £1200 for the strappy sandal style with tail lights.
