Prada have owned a 100% stake in Car Shoe, the original designer and maker of driving shoes since 1963, following a 51% stake acquisition in 2001, extending to a complete takeover in 2010 september. Since this takeover the brand which formerly languished in forgotten corners of its native italy, and the occasional aternative shoe store, has gone from strength to strength, including having its own boutiques in Bond Street and various other locations, and even being sold alongside Prada's own brand stock in outlet stores.
All this leads us to todays article, a new release from Car Shoe entitled "the Gentlemans Driver Collection Boxed Set". The set includes a pair of the classic Car Shoe with Leather lace detail, cleaning kit, shoe horn and matching driving gloves, all of which is available in four colours, black, tan betis calf, terracota, or dark burgundy.
The set is available to purchase in stores or online now, and costs £490 per set.
