As the release of Skyfall approaches, the slew of Bond branded goods have been released, and now its all about the details, what car, what gun, etc. Tom Ford has been confirmed once again as the Designer of choice for dressing Bond, once again since he was also chosen for Quantum of Solace.
Brioni may have been good enough for Brosnan, and seemingly for Craig also in Casino Royale, however it was felt that although Brosnan is a softer looking Bond, Craig's hard edge required a cut of suit equally as sharp as the stares from Bond's latest leading man.
One slight difference on the new Skyfall is Tom Ford is not only the provider of Bond's Suiting, he is the designer to Bond, also being responsible for his Sunglasses, Footwear, Shirts, ties, even small accessories, in fact, aside from the watch, car and gun, it's pretty much all Tom Ford.
Understandably Ford is quite pleased with this deal, one which he is said to have pushed for himself by industry insiders, in a press statement he said of the collaboration : Take it from the head honcho himself, “I could not be happier to be dressing Daniel Craig again in the next James Bond film. James Bond epitomises the Tom Ford man in his elegance, style and love of luxury. I am thrilled to move forward with this iconic character.”
