As predicted by us here back in July at the relaunch of the Faberge brand, they will be positioning themselves as a premier jewellery maker, attempting to reclaim the spot the brand originally occupied when owned by it's namesake and was the darling of Imperial Russia. Sure enough, the initial egg charms collections were merely a taster of what was to come.
The latest collection from Faberge strays into the world of Haute Joallerie with the effort and detail that has been worked into the pieces, called the "Matelasse" collection, they again utilise the egg motif heavily, but this time with a Belle Epoque style, and gentle quilting patterns all over the pieces.
Available in white yellow and pink gold, and adorned with diamonds, the collections will be available from Febuary 2013, no full pricing is available as yet, but the small ring sizes have been published, in either rose yellow or white gold with diamonds they cost £3500 each.
