Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Convertible Bag.

Multi-Purpose bags are all the rage at the moment, with Lousi Vuitton launching the Metis range, written about by us here just a few weeks ago, and Chanel set to launch a Multi-Purpose bag for their Spring/Summer collection, dare we say a trend is emerging?  Suffice to say these practical and versatile bags are in the limelight at the moment, as well they should be.  This latest offering from Bottega Veneta gives us all pause for thought.

Without any particularly fancy moniker, those pragmatic italian have merely called it the "Convertible Bag", made from taupe intrecciato leather, and measuring 22" x 17" x 2", it is both roomy and comfortable to wear, the top handles mean it can be carried as a tote, and the detachable leather strap means it can be a shoulder bag, or, folded over with the generous handles looped over the shoulder and a caban style bag.  Available now the bag costs £3700.
