Panasonic are again attempting to take the design crown from Siemans, whose porsche designed range has been the king of the consumer small appliances in the mid range, and even has managed to find itself into the kitchens of the great and the good.
Their latest attempt is the NC range of kitchen appliances, to be fair they are a bit higher end than the conventional offerings out there, 1.4l capacity, with cool touch exterior, auto shut off, Blue LED indicator, clearly visible water level indicator, and a clever push button mechanism which makes the spout glide up gently, and the eponymous Hard water limescale filter.
Available now in four colours, the product code marks out the colour, NC-DK1 being black NC-ZK1 being violet etc, they cost £120 each, and are the herald of an entire Panasonic NC range. The unusual square design is a bit different in the world of kettle design, but whether they will achieve their goal of medium high end kitchen dominance remains to be seen.
