The world of ultra high end consumable associated with automobiles becomes more packed by the day, just two weeks ago we showcased the Aston Martin homewares collection, which includes some £25,000 solid gold mugs, and now we talk about Bentley Motors foray in the high end Parfum world.
The release is essentially an attention grabber, as Bentley are debuting a new "Bentley For Men" Parfum, and the purpose of this particular version is merely to whet the appetites of consumers for what is to come, but nonetheless, the fragrance does genuinely exist as an ultra high end consumable for those who may be interested.
The eau de parfum contains a mix of wood and leather, a heady combination, meant to evoke the artisan essence of Bentley's fleet, ingredients are varied, but of particular note is the addition of orris butter. The parfum was assembled by French perfumier Mylene Arlan.
However inevitably it is the packaging here which is the star, coming in a Lalique crystal flacon, with a Lalique crystal flying B stopper, all of which comes boxed in a stunning wood receptacle, with a slide out drawer that contains a refilling jug and spout, all done tasteful in matte silver.
Each 40 millilitre bottle will cost £3000, and will be available in a strictly limited quantity of 999 pieces, they will be available from the end of April 2013 in selected worldwide locations, which for London is Harrods.
