Rei Kawakubo, Comme Des Garcons For Hermes Scarves.

The previously announced Rei Kawakubo/Comme Des Garcon/Hermes collaboration announced back in November 2012 has been given form, and the form is indeed fine, rather than the mock up created by some, with tongues stuck firmly in cheeks, of a Hermes print that has a Comme Des Garcon logo stuck in the corner, the collaboration has given us a fine collection of avantgarde silk scarves, which take some of the traditional most popular designs and add twists, details, and abstract graffitti all over the place.

Available from tommorrow, February 6th, they will be sold exclusively at Comme Des Garcons ultra edgy Dover Street Market london, and will feature the six designs shown here, in some different colours, all of which will be strictly limited to 200 pieces per item.

Prices range from £300 per scarf up to £1800 for the largest pieces, but frankly, these are once in a lifetime items, you won't see anything like these, anywhere, ever, so this could almost be called an investment purchase.  At any rate, get yourself down to Dover Street Market London this weekend, so at the very least you can have the chance to look at these before they completely sell out, probably by Sunday.
