Hermes,Jaeger Le Coultre & Les Cristalleries Saint-Louis Atmos Clock.

A collaboration that brings together no less than three companies, Jaeger Le Coultre, Les Cristalleries de Saint-Louis and Hermes, all experts in their respective fields, has borne the fruit of an exclusive version of Jaeger Le Coultre's iconic Atmos Clock.

The Atmos clock for those uninitiated, is a glass clock powered by a special gas, that runs perpetually for 50 years, before needing "regassing" at the Jaeger Le Coultre workshops, it has been a favourite gift of many high profile public figures for some 150 years, and has been photographed in the Oval office with no less than three presidents, including JFK.

This special edition commemorates in an indirect way the association these three brands have shared for nigh on 80 years in one form of another, Les Cristalleries de Saint-Louis, established in 1568 in Alsace, have been owned by Hermes since 1989, additionally, Jaeger le Coultre made watch movements for Hermes from 1928 till 1972, around which Hermes made cases.

The Atmos clock they have produced is a sealed double layered perforated crystal glass globe, with a stunning porthole style front, branded with Hermes, the shell allows the movement to be glimpsed through it, and gives an air of mystery to what is already a fantastical piece.  Limitied to 176 pieces worldwide, the clock costs £30,000 per edition.
