Mouawad has been producing some of the worlds most magnificent pieces of jewellery for well over a hundred and twenty years, having been established in 1890, and still headed by the same family, in that time they have broken record after record for their jewellery, with records including largest diamond used, most flawless diamond used, most flawless fancy diamond used, and several others.
The latest creation from Mouawad is the L'Incomparable necklace, this stunning necklace incorporates the, graded by GIA, worlds larget internally flawless diamond, giving Mouawad yet another record, which was found by a girl in the Republic of Congo in 1980, after doing a tour of world museums, including the Smithsonian in Washington DC, it has been acquired by Mouawad, and set into this stunning necklace.
The L'Incomparable leaves the rest of the necklace more ordinary, allowing the stunning centrepiece to better shine, with 637 carats of smaller diamonds in pear, brilliant and emerald cuts, all set in rose gold in a laurel wreath like design leading to the 407.48 carat monster in the centre.
Unveiled at the 10th annual jewellery and watch exposition in Doha, this amazing creation which totals of over 1000 carats of diamonds has no price published, nor any information if it will be on sale, or merely a vanity piece for the house of Mouawad, however it would probably command in excess of £20m at the absolute least if available for purchase.
WOW! These are some really pretty diamond necklace designs and I'm personally a big fan of nature inspired jewellery. I recently purchased a similar design from ORRA. It’s beautiful & goes with my outfit perfectly. I think brands should definitely make more of these designs.
