Alber Elbaz Lancome Collaboration.

In Fashion and Cosmetics related news, Alber Elbaz of Lanvin fame has taken his unique style to Lancome, and will be revamping their product range, to bring the slightly fusty glamour of this grand old cosmetics company bang up to date.

This is firmly Lancome working with Elbaz, rather than a short term collaboration with Lanvin, which is headed by him, and the commitment which was announced in January will be ongoing, with collections being launched officially from June 15th, however, it is a fact known within the industry, that if the relationship does not work out as mutually beneficial, then Elbaz will step back, therefore it is being marketed more as a "collaboration" initially.

The first announced products will be Elbaz taking his hand to Lancome's four leading mascaras, with feminine details such as stars, hearts and dots, along with couture detailing, and on-trend prints, and each case is decorated with little bows.  Lancome's inconic Hypnose has a new packaging, covering it charciture eyes in the style Elbaz is well  known for, the Doll eyes and Star eyes carry the same motifs.  Finally, there will be a selection of special fake eyelashes, which come presented in illustrated boxes.

As stated, the collections will be available from June 15th, and will cost from £10 to £40 per item.
