Although this does not come as a great surprise to many luxury fans, as images leaked last week announced that Maison Martin Margiela will be collaborating with G-Shock to produce an exclusive line of limited edition watches, the manner and form this will take has now been officially announced, and is a delight to all to behold.
Launched on March 30th, with a limited edition run of 3,000 pieces worldwide, the model GA-300 will be available one piece per store at 300 retail locations worldwide, and has in fact been produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of G-Shock, with the brand having started in 1983.
The watch features a transparent liquid crystal skeleton display, and a chronograph style face which incorporates a stopwatch, world timer, and LED illuminator, and is of course shock and water resistant, up to a depth of 200 metres. The fashion influence comes from a removable mirrored silver leather cuff, metallic silver casing, and on the reverse of the watch is Maison Martin Margiela's signature 0 - 23 engraved into the steel.
