Bottega Veneta Skies And Beyond With Nancy Lorenz.

In further attempts to go all "arty", Bottega Veneta have collaborated with graphic and design Artist Nancy Lorenz to produce a series of high concept, and top quality, wooden storage boxes with inlaid art work by the artist, the project is entitled "Skies and Beyond".

Although many may not be aware of it, this is in fact the third collaboration between Lorenz and Bottega Veneta which has resulted in the creation of exquisite and elegant boxes, the first being in in 2002, and subsequently 2003, now she is back, and the new Skies and Beyond collection has created a selection of 25 leather and suede boxes, each of which is individually numbered, and completely handmade.

There is no question, these are seriously exclusive affairs, firstly, to purchase one you had to go through a personal shopper in Bottega Veneta, and this was before even actually seeing the item, because they were not actually unveiled until the Salone Del Mobile in Milan which opened today, they went on sale officially on the 2nd of April, and here, only after their public showing, could we, or their prospective owners see what beauties they shelled out for.

The materials used to produce these include White gold, Silver, palladium, gold leaf, and various other precious materials, and, if you are very lucky, you may be able to still purchase one of these boxes, which cost £4000 each.
