With Bang & Olufsen, waiting for Headphones is a bit like waiting for buses, you wait years, then suddenly two come along at once, and with their latest product announcement, and latest addition to their ever growing BeoPlay range, they have not bucked that trend, releasing both the H6 On Ear Cup Headphones, and the H3 In Ear Headphones, the first In Ear Headphone Bang and Olufsen have ever produced.
First up, the premium range H6 Headphones, moving completely away from the minimalist design which has typified the form 2 headphones for almost 15 years, and which filtered down to the more recent A8 on ear headphones, these are luxurious slabs of premium leather and machined aluminium, which will be using memory foam ear cushions, and use 40mm drivers to deliver, from their 230 g lightweight frames, absolute premium audio, costing £399 per pair.
And for the mobile warrior who like to be a little more discreet, the H6 In Ear headphones, as stated, the first in ear offerings from B&O, which, using 10.8mm drivers, milled aluminium housings, and 23 ventilation holes, weigh only 12.8grams, and have a 1.35m long cable, not only that, an integrated microphone and three button inline remote means that they are optimised for iOS devices. these beauties will be costing £200 per pair.
Both pairs will be available from Bang & Olufsen from May 2013.
