Louis Vuitton Excale Worldtime Watch.

Louis Vuitton have unveiled their first wristwatch for world travellers at Baselword 2014.  This high end timepiece allows them to enter the exclusive club of manufactures such as Patek Phillipe and Vacheron Constantin, for whom the world timer is the de-facto complication of the ultra wealthy globetrotter.

At 41mm it is not a shy timepiece. The satin-polished white gold case is complimented by a plain black leather strap.  All this simplicity is designed specifically to draw attention to the 30-colour pallete on the hand painted dial, with a series of rotating disks to give the time, and Louis Vuitton tastefully placed on the centre of the dial, with a yellow arrow pointing upward towards the relevant timezone.

As with most worldtimer watches, the price for this most complicated of complications is not cheap.  This will be available for £48,000 from the end of April 2014 in Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.
