Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A2.

New from Bang & Olufsen's Beoplay range comes a portable speaker.  This is not the first portable speaker we have ever seen from Bang & Olufsen, The Beosound 3 radio around 5 years ago, the Beolit 12 last year, and several other offerings promised portability in various different forms.  However, the new Beoplay A2 is the first time we have seen a truly portable speaker from the Danish Audio producer.

Essentially, what we are looking at is an ultra high end Jambox. As Engadget's review stated, this is a device which punches far above it's weight, and in some cases, could even be considered as a small home system for many.  Straming via bluetooth, with the higher quality aptX standard being in evidence, it is not quite as portable as Bang & Olufsen would like you to believe, being more likely to be fitting in a backpack than your pocket.

However, whatever the case may be, B&O, everyones favourite high-end audio maker, have gone ahead and produced an ultra high-end portable speaker.  Availabale in three colours, and priced at £299, we are confident this will be a strong performer in the market place.
