More news from Bang & Olufsen's "budget" Beoplay range, following the release of the high-end A2 portable speaker system, Bang & Olufsen have officially dropped the price on two of the existing models in the range. The iconic Beoplay A8 has been dropped down to £849, a drop of £100, and the seemingly temporary price drop of the summer of the Beolit 12 down to £429, is now the new normal, and the permanent pricing for this item.
The question of everyones minds when reading news like this is, does it indicate these models are being discontinued? For lovers of "the next new thing", either those with the devices, or about to purchase them, this is important information, as it will affect either their purchase, or need to upgrade. Sadly B&O are silent on this point, merely indicating the price drop and no more.
To all those worried consumers, a word to the wise, B&O dropped the A8 price before, then put it up again, at the end of 2013 it cost £929, then they Dropped it down to £829, and then put it back up to £949 again, this could be just that happening again!
