Five months ago we reported John Galliano had returned to the world of fashion in a small way, by being named creative director of L'Etoile, a Russian luxury house with expansionist tendancies. In that report we predicted his return within the next couple of years to fashion fully. It seems our prediction was a little inadequate, in fact, after just five short months, he has been named creative director of Maison Martin Margiela.
This is a huge leap back into the fashion world for the disgraced former Christian Dior head, and a sign that, at least in the world of fashion, he has been forgiven his sins.
Galliano's first collection will debut in Paris during Couture week 2015.
