Dover Street Market and Tiffany & Co Jewellery Collection.

A short while ago we wrote about the possible acquisition of a large controlling stake of Tiffany & Co by the LVMH group, and the exciting new direction this could take the brand in, and now, we see this collaboration with ultra cool department store Dover Street Market.

Actually, the truth is this is the second collaboration between these two brands, so it's nothing too crazy, but the pieces they have produced are pretty special this time round.

Rugged, with a worn-in aesthetic, we have dog tag necklaces, chunky bracelets with gold accents, chunky rings with NYC and LA engraved on them, simple rings, and a bangle bracelet.

In the words of Reed Kraroff, Tiffany's chief artistic officer:

“Dover Street Market’s curated style edit, and the iconic collaborations it is known for, makes it the ideal space to debut these limited-release Tiffany Men’s designs,”

Krakoff went on to say:

“It’s a great way to get in tune with the male consumer who’s really into fashion, style and lifestyle. And it’s great to be in places that are surprising because — and you have to back it up with something that’s worth looking at — it must be something new,” Krakoff said. “And they were great to work with. We were able to create an assortment that was right for them and it looked really believable and exciting in their environment, which is not easy because they have the best of the best there.”

It's no surprise that the collar is aimed at bringing in new business, as we noted in out article on the possible LVMH buyout, Tiffany & co's sales are down, as it's losing it's cachet with the younger crowd, but at least they have produced a quality line, rather than dross.

The collection will be available at Dover Street Market locations exclusively in London, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and Ginza from November er 27 to January 15.
