Bang & Olufsen continue to pump out new iterations of their Beoplay products, either by way of "seasonal collections", which amount to new colour-ways, or by "collaborations", which are, in essence, new colour-ways, but with a few touches to differentiate them from the main-line pieces.
These E8 Motion earbuds with input from Matthew Williams, and branded with his 1017 ALYX 9SM brand is unremarkable in regards to features, being the exact same as the standard E8 Motion earbuds. This means you have a charging case, which if used on a qi surface charges wirelessly, splash and dust resistance, and touch controls on the earbuds. No noise cancellation, just a selection of different sized attachments to block external noise.
Williams input adds aluminium with ingraving inside the case, embossing externally, and branding on one of the earbuds. One cute feature which may make these desirable is the mini bag supplied, which features a double strap, and mini rollercoaster buckle. Otherwise these are ni different from the standard E8 Motion earbuds.
Available from January 16 at an ALYX pop up at Paris fashion week, on highsnobiety.com, alyxstudio.com and bang-olufsen.com for £400, £100 over the non collaboration E8 Motion earbuds.
