A big story in fashion from early 2019 was that Moncler's Genius line would be staying true to its core ethos, and having designers rotate through it's numbered collections. This is a refreshing change from the typical industry stance, which is to continually milk a concept till it is broken then discard it. The big story in this big story is Matthew Williams taking over the Moncler 6 lease from Kei Ninomiya.
The collection has finally been revealed, and it is pictured here in full. We think this is a stellar effort from Williams, who is stretched thin this year, collaborating with Mackintosh, and Bang & Olufsen, who we wrote about here, but despite all these commitments, the Moncler 6 range is a triumph.
Blending the ALYX minimalist directional aesthetic perfectly, not too much, not too little. And of course, the iconic rollercoaster buckles are in effect in a big way. Check out the Mini Rollercoaster belt with Moncler branding, a steal at £270 while stocks last. And they won't last long, the bracelet is already out of stock.
