Pictured here are a small selection of the images from Adidas and Gucci's new collaboration. These luxury sports brand collabs are frankly getting old now. Nike Dior, Nike Louis Vuitton, Adidas Prada, theres no originality to any of them, just vulgar logos writ large in a shameless attempt to cash in on the credibility each brand holds within their sphere.
We will give some credit, there is a decidily 80's vibe about the collection and if you like that sort of thing then here you go. Bear in mind however the 1980's were a cesspool of some of the worst excesses of greed, inhumanity, and inequality, and much of the problems we currently manage are a result of that improperly remembered decade. But hey, flashy graphics right?
If you're of a different opinion, and fancy snapping up something from these collections, they go on sale on the Adidas CONFIRMED app and Gucci's website, with the sneaker being likely to be in the region of £600, and clothes starting from £150 for a headband, while the real standout pieces like the jackets going for £1,500.
