Rimowa are one of those well established companies which are extremely slow to change their product ranges, the last time a completely new product range was announced was back in 2000 with the Salsa range, since then, and still now, Rimowa have been quite happy to rest on the laurels of their success, with the occasional tweak or limited edition, but staying true to the core of the brand.
The Topas Titanium collection was released originally in 2010, as a sample range, and met with roaring success, now they have expanded the range, into a fully fledged selection of products, everything the classic topas range has. including the vanity case.
Consumers should be warned however, the name "titanium" is somewhat misleading, there is no titanium present in this luggage, it is made of the same rigid airplane aluminium the original topas range is constructed from, and using the same process Rimowa have used for the last 60 years, it is merely a new colourway to give consumers more choice.
If this doesn't discourage you, the full range can be bought from most online luggage retailers, and in most Rimowa stores, the easiest Rimowa Boutique in London which comes to mind is the Lugage department in Harrods, which stock most items from rimowa's ranges.
Prices start from £350 for the vanity case, and go up to £980 for the largest 83cm luggage piece.
