Startup Blossom Coffee Produce Worlds Most Expensive Coffee Machine The Blossom One.

The product in the image above is, according to various sources, both the worlds most advanced, and the worlds most expensive coffee machine.  Developed by two engineers, one of whom had previously worked with NASA, and one of which worked with Apple, Tesla Motors and BMW, additionally it's team includes one designer, Joey Roth, who is already successful in his own right with Joey Roth Design Studio in Los Angeles, and who has garnered tremendous public attention with his well known teapot design.

With such a prestigious R&D team behind this new startup company, Blossom Coffee, it only begs the question, what is so special about the Blossom One?  The answer is, almost everything, thanks to the design input, it looks amazing, but looks alone are only a small part of the story, the Blossom One, manages to be both style and substance, and heres why.  A low mass means high precision control in the brewing process, a self filling reservoir, which uses gravity to fill the boiler, a manual plunger, meaning maximal control over press out type coffee makers, and a special custom paper filter attached to a standard fitment which can accept any E61 Portafilter basket.

All of which is nice, but the piece de la resistance with this product is the 3MP camera, designed specifically for QR code scanning, which means you never have to second guess on the brewing process, you just put the coffee in, scan the code, and enjoy a perfect cup every time, it does the work of adjusting internally, recognising as soon as the coffee is scanned, and, with the addition of an 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connection, it can always stay up-to-date with the latest releases on the market.

At the moment the company is taking orders on it's website for delivery in the Spring of 2013, the Blossom One can be made in Mahogany, Walnut, Sapele, Teak, Zebrawood, or any other custom wood of your choosing, the cost is the only issue, costing $11,111, or more depending on material used, that works out to around £10,000 including import taxes, you had better move fast however, as only 10 units will be produced in 2010
