Chanel Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Pret a Porter Collection.

Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Pret a Porter and Accessories collection was unveiled last week at the Paris Fashion Week, which once again used the Grand Palais as a stage for an awe inspiring 15 minutes of magnificence, honestly, if Karl Largerfeld ever decided to go into showbusiness he would be like a combination of Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, his shows are epic, and never fail to impress, following a lunar scape and ice tundra in recent years, this show gave a 50ft high globe, which marked out all the worlds Chanel store locations with white double CC flags, like some sort of global dominance map, it looked like a super villans lair.

Onto the clothes, Largerfeld managed to present another practical and wearable collection, whether that is a good thing or not is up to the individual, thigh high black boots were eponymous, for women, and for the minimal mens collection, and articulated boots also featured, aside from footwear, there was a large selection of heavy coats, and tailored tweed jackets, everything was a whirl of dark elegant wintery shades, no particular direction other than smart and elegant.

The collections will be available towards the end of 2013 in stores worldwide.
