Duffy Jewellery Dover Street Market Glasses.

For the uninitiated, Duffy Jewellery is an East London based jeweller that creates bespoke, hand-made, locally sourced high jewellery.  However, this is and entirely insubstantial outline of what this artist does.  A better way to understand Duffy is to think of him as a doorway to the past.  In days of yore jewellery was an entirely bespoke one of one experience, a contract between the creator and customer, no "ranges' or "collections" existed, merely an artisan that clients visit, and this is Duffy.

For an idea of this more clearly, pop to their website.  Nothing but an address and email, and rotation of pieces made for clients exist.  Unless you are buying a one off from a company that commissioned a piece, you are only getting something by direct contact with Duffy.

And that brings us to the Dover Street Market commissioned Duffy glasses.  Designed over the span of 3 years, these solid silver and 9carat yellow gold frames are like every piece of Duffy's, handmade, and one of a kind, and also like everything Duffy makes, they are exceptionally expensive, costing £15,000.

So if you've been itching for a piece of Duffy's work, but are scared to interact with another human being, this is your chance.
