Louis Vuitton 2023 Art of Dining Collection Burger Box.

For 2023 Louis Vuitton have released an 'Art of Dining' collection.  The line up includes sets of monogrammed plates, cups, reusable cups, glasses, coasters, reusable straws, and travel flask.  None of these however are particularly interesting, not least as their designs are uninspired and frankly dull.  We are far more interested, or should that read amused, by the entirely useless burger box accessory they created.

Made from flower printed monogrammed canvas and leather with a branded push stud closure, it is, a burger box.  But wait you say, wheres the burger?  Louis Vuitton have a ludicrous reply for this.  It is in the form of five coloured plastic disks each representing a layer of the burger. Oh and it costs £2500.

To say this was utterly useless would be an understatement.  Indeed the other slightly useless item in the line up is a popcorn holder, which at least can be used as a mini desktop bin, but this? is entirely pointless.  But you see thats the point.

This was not created to wow audiences in the way say, a new bag design might, this is a pointedly purposed creation with one goal in mind, to attract controversy, and thereby attention.  By proxy from this, the remaining items in the collection will be seen.  And when you see the rest of their collection you can understand why they conceptualised this attention grabbing shock stunt.  A bland and uninteresting selection of boring monogrammed tableware, which seems to be LV's first move into this area.  With such stakes, they needed eyes on prize, and what better than a polarising "burger box" to get chins wagging.  After all, we wrote about it, and your reading this aren't you?  So it worked.

If you disagree, and we highly doubt you will, it's available now from Louis Vuitton's online store.  However, we suspect trying to buy the thing might leave consumers disappointed.  We are relatively certain this is a publicity stunt only, and they never expected anyone to buy it, and probably don't actually stock, it.
